Seeking a New Perspective

When I’m in the air flying above the clouds, it’s as if I’m flying above my life seeing my world from a different perspective.

When your on the ground, in the action, working through each day it’s tough to see the good. It’s difficult to see hope through the fog, the rain and the downpour of our problems. That is until God gives you His eyes to see things through a different perspective.

My youth pastor once told me, “a change of place, equals a change of pace, equals a change of perspective”

I, for one could use a change of perspective.

Anyone else need a change of perspective??

This is news to many, but I am embarking on a new journey. This journey consist of letting go, seeking God, and stepping out in faith.

Letting go of control.

Seeking the kind and abundant love of God.

Stepping out in faith to boldly proclaim who Jesus is through the gifts He’s given me.

It was 10 years ago that the power of the Holy Spirit got a hold of me and released the grip of control I had on my life. A dream of being a color guard instructor turned into a year of living in Ireland telling the amazing Irish people about Jesus.

You would think letting go and releasing your white knuckled grip would lead to more anxiety, but the truth is, it leads to freedom.

Nothing can touch the exuberant overflowing joy of being free in Jesus. Free to be loved and free to love. Free to live and free to let go for the glory of God.

So, here I am. Here I am letting go and praying God would not only speak, but that through the power of the Holy Spirit I will hear, listen and obey.

Are you in a season, a place or a situation in your life that is wearing you out?? Do you need Jesus to help you let go, gain a new perspective and learn to live in His freedom?

Friends, me to!!

“Come to me, all who are weary, and burdened, and I will give your rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28)

Jesus is not telling us to get it together. Jesus is not telling us to figure it out on our own. So, why do we try to??

His invitation is to come to Him if you are weary and burdened because He is gentle and humble in heart. Here, in His arms surrounded by His presence and promises, you will find rest for your souls.

Praying this verse will sink deep in your heart as I pray it does in mine. You are not alone and God’s hand is still moving in your life, love. Keep watching and see.

Loving Enduringly,

Lo

Side note —> I am headed off to Charleston, SC for a conference. Expecting God to move, speak and bring clarity! Plus, I am reining in the fall season even if it’s still 90 degrees outside… lol Oh well! Cheers to all the pumkin spice latte lovers out there!!
