It's Not Over Yet

It’s in the trying seasons that everything in us wants to quit. The commitment to pray falls short; the desire to get in God’s word grows smaller, and the faith to keep going slows down.
Frankly, it would be easier if life would go the way we had always anticipated, right? As lovely as that sounds God has called me, you and everyone to live a life that will never be defined as easy.

Some of you know exactly what I’m talking about. You understand what it’s like to feel stuck, to feel depressed, or to feel confused. Friend, If you’re there too, I want to bring some hope to you.
If you’ve read my past articles, then you know a little bit about the lonely road I’ve walked down for quite some time. I told my beloved cousin/sister the other day that I didn’t want to dive into the season of singleness anymore because that’s so desperately what I didn’t want to be.
“How do you dive into something you don’t want to be?” I asked her?
Her response. “I don’t know, but it sounds horribly hard…”
I bring this up to you because my words may not come perfectly today as I too have had lots of down moments lately. However, if you needed this as well as I did, I pray God would let His truth rush over you and bring you peace.
So here’s what I have for any heart that’s listening.
Believe.
Hope.
Trust.
Walk.
Believe that God sees you and He’s for you in the midst of your hurting. Have Hope that His love won’t fail you, and His dreams for you are marvelous. Trust in the power of Jesus Christ who dwells inside you and who gives you the courage to teach, exemplify, and share the Gospel with all people. Lastly, walk humbly with Jesus remembering that He alone is the treasure, not the blessings He gives you.
When my troubles fall to the ground, and God brings my heart back to the cross, I no longer desire easy; I desire purpose. I desire strength to keep going because I know the mission is too great to stop now. I desire vision from the Holy Spirit so I can quickly get in on whatever work God is doing.
Beloved, you’re trying. You’re walking in the ways of the Lord, and it’s a laborious journey. Don’t give up. Keep praying, keeping walking, keep reading God’s Word, and lean in. Lean into the voice of Jesus more than you’ve ever leaned in before. He is speaking to you, and He is here for you every minute of every day to help you, dear one.
Beloved, if you have quit, disbelieved, or walked away from the truths of God, I am praying over you at this moment that God would once again reveal to you how real and good He is. I know you’re back maybe against the wall, and the voice of the world screams loud, but I encourage you to live heaven bound. It says in scripture that life is but a vapor, (James 4:14) but the souls of men and women will last forever. The extraordinary difficulty it takes to focus your sight on Christ instead of what’s visibly in front of you is challenging but vital. Remember your God is stronger and He is alive. He is active in your life.
Boldly walk in this truth one small step at a time, love. It’s not over yet.
Loving Enduringly,
Lo
(Joshua 1:9)
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
(Isiah 41:10)
fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

I hope this article encouraged your heart today!
